Trisha and Lori take a picture

with artist Shanna Melton at her

art exhibit.

K.Y.D.S is always taking

donations, due to the fact that

all events are funded by the

founder, who is a teacher... so

you know how that goes...funds

are limited.

Rose Buds…

Cultivating our girls

into young ladies.

Plant them with values, water them with self- esteem,

shine a little knowledge… and watch them flourish!

This all female youth group is geared towards ages 11-14 .

It involves mentoring, and skills development in the areas of violence prevention, sex education, social etiquette, and goal setting. Beginning in August the group will meet monthly for 2 hours,  Miss Toya. Guest speakers and field trips will also feature occasionally.

The purpose of this group is to enlighten, educate, and elevate

our girls so they can develop into strong, focused, young ladies, who will eventually serve as leaders amongst their peers.

Our world is changing, and even if parents are willing to communicate about uncomfortable topics, often the children are not. Instead they are taking advice from other young people, who don’t know much more than they do.

Rosebuds addresses these touchy subjects in a confidential, interactive and fun environment.

The first meeting was held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, from 5:30-7:30pm at the Springfield Central Library 220 State St. Springfield, MA in the community room.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, November 19 at 5:30pm.   Reserve your space by calling  us.

if interested, please contact  via email or at 413-218-4110.
